Mavi Pencere Güzel sanatlar Atölyesi 1975 yılında ressam Zekai Bostancı tarafından kuruldu. Mozaik, duvar resmi, fresk, rölyef, seramik ve vitray uygulamaları yapan atölye, uzun yıllar süren detaylı bir çalışmadan sonra İstanbul ve Anadolu’nun eski konaklarından desenli yer karolarını bulup fotograflarını çekerek, kayda değer bir arşiv oluşturdular. Yapılan arşiv çalışmalarından sonra, 1997 de, 500’ze yakın unutulmuş deseni yeniden gün ışığına çıkarıp, KAROİSTANBUL markası ile mimarların ve mühendislerin seçeneklerine sundular… Bu gün pek çok önemli projede kullanılan desenli karo çinileri yeniden kullanıma sunan ve tercih edilmesini sağlayan firma olmaktan dolayı mutluyuz….
